My Fantasy Football League is Drafting in a Week!
Posted by sMoKes | Filed under Uncategorized |
Things have changed since the last time I posted my top 10 list. And with my draft coming up soon, I have made significant changes to the list as well as who I want with my 10th pick and so on. Today, I am going to break down my perspective on the top 3 guys from each position that matter.
First off, lets start with QB’s:
1) Tom Brady – his upside is so much greater than Brees and how can u not think about what he did in 2007.
2) Drew Brees – when you draft brees, you know your getting consistency. Can’t go wrong with this guy
3) Peyton Manning – he is simply “MANNING”
**other notables: I say if you can’t land the top 2 QB’s in the earlier rounds, wait until the middle rounds to pick up guys like Aaron Rodgers or Matt Schaub.
RB’s:
1) Adrian Peterson – He is still on the top of my list. Now with Farve in town, he will finally have the luxury to not face 8 or 9 man every time he runs.
2) Matt Forte – The guy is simply AMAZING. As long as he doesn’t fall into the category of sophomore curse, he might be the best RB after end of the season.
3) MJD – If you got the third pick this year and the guy in front of you took AP and MJD, be happy to have Mr. Forte as your first pick. If this is not the case, you gotta take a chance on MJD at number 3; with so much hype on what he can do this year with Fred Taylor out of the picture, only time will tell if he was worth the 3rd pick.
**other notables: Michael Turners stock has dropped significantly since the last time I posted my Top 10. With the news of Turner likely to get about 70 less carries than last year, I wouldn’t pick him at number 4 or 5 or 6 or ….
WR’s:

1) Andre Johnson: He has become my top reciever for many reasons and I don’t want to mention why now =P
2) Larry Fitz: He is the consensus #1 WR in most draft boards and no one can’t doubt that after his playoff run last year.
3) Randy Moss: TOM BRADY!!! (maybe #2 pick?)
**other notables: Percy Harvin (who is this guy???) -wrong section =D
TE’s:
1) Jason Witten: T.O.’s not in town no more!
2) Antonio Gates: Rivers is becoming a quality QB now and that means good news for Gates.
3) Tony Gonzalez: New team, new QB. He still has the chance to become the top TE at the end of the season.
-I didn’t wan’t to go into too much detail about certain things I mentioned. I don’t want people in my league to take all the sleepers and the good value picks if I mention them all. Well, Good Luck to everyone who is playing in Fantasy Football this year and I hope this is the year for YOU!
*if not, there’s always next year

STACK-Z?
Posted by sMoKes | Filed under Uncategorized |
TEAMSTACK was chillin at the office today and came across JAY-Z Blueprint 3 cover. His meaning behind the three solid lines represents the number “3.” To our suprise, the logo looked very similar to our STACK logo..

BUT, what can we say.. Jay-Z is a legend and you definitely can’t hate on the man. Bottom line, I wanted to make this post regarding the 3 lines on the cover:
GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!
Countdown to Fantasy Football…

Do you play Fantasy Football? If you don’t and you love football, you should definitely give it a try. I’ve been playing FF for the past two years with my friends. It’s a good game to play with your close friends as we always wait for Sundays to gather and watch football all day long. Let’s take a look at my top 10 picks:
#1 Adrian Peterson (Minnesota) aka “ALL DAY”
-If your lucky enough to have the first pick, don’t waste your time.
#2 Matt Forte (Chicago) aka “Baby Westbrook”
-This second year man can do it all. Not only can he run, but his ability to catch the ball reminds me of Brian Westbrook. Last year as a rookie, he led all running backs in catches. Now with Jay Culter at QB, I see Forte rising once again to be the main man in Chicago offense.
#3 Marurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville) “One Man Back”
-He’s finally being given the chance to be the main back with Fred Taylor out of the picture. His size is only concern and only time will tell what this guy can do as one of the top picks.
#4 Michael Turner (Atlanta) – As a starter last year, he was one of those backs who performed tremendously well against bad teams and struggled against good teams. But that trend was just the start of the season as he got better and better as the season came to an end.
#5 DeAngelo Williams (Carolina)- TD leader from last year. This guy put up ridiculous numbers all season long. There is NO way he can duplicate those numbers from last year. With Jonathan Stewart looking to steal some of the carries, lets see what DW can do.
#6 Chris Johnson (Tennessee)- This man has all the skills to become the main guy. Only in his second year, he has proved to his team that he should be the feature back. I would be very disappointed if LenDale White steals all the TD’s from CJ.
#7 Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona)
-First reciever to be drafted off the board. He could have been the Super Bowl XLIII MVP if the Steelers didn’t have that incredible comeback. Fitz is a beast and with Boldin on the other side, the defense can’t just concentrate on Larry.
#8 Steve Slaton (Houston)- another rookie from last year who has made a name for himself. Take a chance on him as the offense of Houston is pretty solid with good QB, awesome reciever, and Steve Slaton in the backfield.
#9 Randy Moss (New England) “guess who’s back”
-Just check out the stats from 2 years ago when they both made history. With Brady back at QB, watch out NFL.. the best team in football is back.
#10 Marion Barber, Frank Gore, Andre Johnson, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Clinton Portis
The November Nine!

Who's the third guy from the left?!?
As all of you poker fans already know, the final table for the WSOP main event is set. The tournament will be held at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and the final table does not begin until Nov. 7th. These remaining 9 players will soon be fighting for the bracelet as well as the $8.5 million for first place. From the list of November Nine, you might recognize one of the guys who is currently in 7th place with 9,765,000 chips:
The chip leader is a man from Maryland named Darvin Moon with the chip stack of 58,930,000. Ivey has a lot of work cut out for him in order to win the main event bracelet, but you can never count him out of the mix. While playing on Fulltilt, I’ve seen Ivey win $300,000 in less than 30 minutes, as well as him losing about $200,000 in one hand. This man is not afraid to risk his stack to come out on top! Until November…
