The Weekend

hope you all had a good weekend.. let me share with you guys what went down during my weekend.

…so on Friday, i had the opportunity to get my hands dirty by leraning how to silkscreen. at first, it was hard to imagine the step by step process of how shirts got printed. after 3 hours of lesson and an hour of silk screening shirts/sweaters, i have a better understanding of this whole thing.

let me tell you tho.. it was so much fun finally learning how to do it and i plan to keep going back to get better.

thanks to Tomas and Gyomedia:

on to saturday: as most of you know, it was Fight Night for two of the top boxers, Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto. the fight was an amazing display of Pacquiao’s skills as i believe he won every freakin round. tho undersized compared to Cotto, Pacman was just too quick. the way he throws punches from all different angles is unreal.

manny-pacquiao-001

i was hoping for pacman to finish him in the 10th round as i had the opportunity to win $400, but i definitely wasn’t disappointed with the 12th round TKO. pacman has one more man to beat to be considered THE world’s best pound -for-pound fighter hands down. —we all want Mayweather-Pacquiao

but for now, congrats to Manny Pacquiao

Sunday is always a good day. a day to chill in front of a TV and watch football all day. =)

-MORE PICTURES COMING SOON OF OUR NEW DESIGNS ON SHIRTS AND SWEATERS!

Check Out Phil Ivey’s Website

Phil Ivey, if you already don’t know, is one of the best poker players in the world, if not the best.  so i was checking out his website and came across a link that lets you, “See Phil Ivey’s Top 20 online hands as they played out at Full Tilt Poker.” The pots are so big that one of his winnings from a single hand can buy you a Lambo. his biggest pot was $687,000!!! go check out his site and check it out as many players try to outplay Ivey only to lose hundred thousands of dollars (including top pros!)

here is the hand that won him the $687,000 pot; taking $340,000 from a pro, John Juanda:

iveyhand

as most of you know, Phil Ivey played in the main event of the World Series of Poker. though he was bad beated to place 7th place to win $1.4 million, I’m  sure that money is not worth much to him compared to the bracelet he was pursuing. Ivey sponsored and being the face of FullTilt, check out his website by clicking here, and join the Full Tilt poker community.

philivey

Phil is known to be the most intimidating player to play against. the way he stares people down scares people to play their best game. with that in mind, when we created one of our shirts, we used his eyes in our design to create the “Poker Face” shirt. click the link to go to our online shop and purchase our shirts.

if you want to play with me on Full Tilt, you can email me at mitch@stackclothing.com, and I’ll send u my screen name. see you at the tables =)

The Main Event

did u guys watch the final table of the WSOP Main Event?

look at the stage of the final table:

2009_novembernine_1

and the 9 players:

final-table

mannnn, there were so many bad beats that knocked out many of the players.

of those who got knocked out from a bad beat… was our main man Phil Ivey. His “A,K” vs Moon’s “A,Q” all in pre-flop. sucked to see the best player get 7th place when he was playing a solid game. (can’t believe he folded the pocket jacks tho)

here is the list of each place:

1st: Joe Cada                     $8,546,435

2nd: Darvin Moon               $5,182,601

3rd: Antonine Saout            $3,479,485

4th: Eric Buchman               $2,502,787

5th: Jeff Shulman                $1,953,395

6th: Steven Begleiter           $1,587,133

7th: Phil Ivey                      $1,404,002

8th: Kevin Schaffel              $1,300,228

9th: James Akenhead          $1,263,602

from the list of the November Nine, two players kept pulling cards and bad beated the rest of the field.. and they are Darvin Moon & Joe Cada:

moon-and-cada

Moon played very aggressively and won many STACKed pots, while also making huge mistakes by trying to steal the pots with his huge chip STACK.

 darvinmoon

another guy who kept pushing all in with his small pairs and pulled “sets” to make the final 2 was Joe Cada. at one point he only had 1% of all the chips on the table… and to come back from 1% of the chips to win the whole enchilada was unbelievable. not to mention,  he’s also the youngest player to win the main event at the age of 21, beating out last years winner Peter Eastgate.

to all of us who weren’t familiar with who Joe Cada was, we will all soon know who this kid is..  here are some pictures of his big moments in the tournament:
