Big news today in the poker world.
But let me first say, we just feel blessed to be part of the DeepStacks movement. They are doing all the right things to become THE household name in the poker world.
Congrats to DeepStacks and DeepStacks Pro, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi for renewing his partnership with Breeders’ Cup! Instead of us trying to explain what poker and horse racing has in common, check out the story here from DeepStacks or Pokernews.
On top of this, they just locked down a huge deal with one the finest casino’s in the world, Mohegan Sun, on a multi -year deal! First event, which runs 11 days, will be held November 2012.
If any of you are in CT, check out Mohegan Sun’s Poker room and you’ll see banners everywhere, letting everyone know… DeepStacks is COMING!!!
Gotta cook up some dope stuff for this 11 day event. Tees, hoodies, hats, etc… the whole deal!

Turlock | DeepStacks x Stack = Success

We’re back! Long drive, longer days, but great turnout. Here’s a recap of how things went down in Turlock, CA.

Day 1 ended with a night out at a bar in Turlock. Cheers to a bright future!
Day 2, showcased a great turnout of entries for this $25,000 guaranteed prize pool. Before the cards were dealt, Mr. McEachern announced the famous slogan, “Don’t forget to wash your hands after using the restroom.” Followed by, “Shuffle Up & Deal!”

Look who happens to be sitting right next to me!!! The Legend, Tom McEvoy:
Really glad he was sitting RIGHT of me. But did that even matter? Here’s the story of how I doubled up the Legend:
He pre-flop raises with KK; I call with JJ. Flop comes 9KJ, McEvoy leads out, I push all-in, he calls.
In return, I got a picture that’s priceless to me. I can say I played with one of the greatest poker players ever to play the game. What’s that shinny thing on his arm? (RESPECT!)
After 6 hours of play or so… we got a dinner break. On to a new table, super short stacked. Grinded and got my chip stack to 20,000. Antes and blinds slowly eating me alive, need to make a move soon
Here’s the story of me getting busted =(
First to act raises to 4,000. Everyone folds and I call on the button with KhQh.
FLOP: Ks, Qc, 5h (he checks; I bet 4,000; he calls)
TURN: 4h (he checks again; I’m convinced he has AA or AK); I push all in for 7,000 plus; he calls. He shows pocket kings for a set. Still having 9 outs with hearts, my 18% chance of hitting that heart never came.
Really bummed after getting eliminated cuz I thought this was the hand that was going to put me back in the mix to compete and make it to day 2.
Day 2 came to an end with 27 remaining with 3 of the DeepStacks Pros still remaining:

The night ended with a private game of 9 players that included: CEO of DeepStacks, couple of the DS’s Pros, owner of the Turlock Poker Room (that included a BOUNTY), and the Stack crew. Not your typical game of poker competition we all usually play at home:

3rd: Jason Lee
2nd and 1st chopped the prize money. As the last years runner up, he wins first, and Tom McEvoy gets 2nd. Great run by the DeepStacks Pros!

Prep For Turlock – DeepStacks

Our team will be heading to Turlock Poker Room tomorrow night. We will go on a 330 mile journey to meet up with the DeepStacks fam to bring that street swag for them poker heads. DeepStacks course is going down on Friday,
followed by DeepStacks Tourney which couple of Stack heads will be participating. Here’s the 411:
Hoping people in Turlock will buy all our stuff and we can come home on Sunday talking about how we took down the tourney! #dreambig!

Started production yesterday. And today, we finished up all the labels on the shirts.
About 600 shirts or so…

Back To Grinding
