EFF The Recession

(Your money… I am still up grand… from this last time I stick it in you.)

So far on the Stack Blog, we’ve been pretty much blogging our activities, updates, interests and just other random things but i’m gonna flip it for a sec.  I feel like getting a little deeper on this post due to… well no actual real reason.  Just feel like talking about this..

A few weeks ago, a few members of Team Stack headed up to Vegas for the Almighty Magic convention but things just weren’t the same as they were before. I don’t wanna go through any major details but it seems like the economy has really taken a hit on the fashion industry and a ton of brands are suffering because of this. We went to just check it out and stay up to date with what is going on but it’s almost like a flood hit the inflated markets (entertainment, fashion, real estate, etc) and there is a huge backlash because of it now. Well.. I don’t want to just be a downer on this post but i think the reality of the market is that it’s pretty bad. We’ve seen companies come and go and a lot of people were even saying to us back when we started (almost 2 years ago now)… “dude, what are you doing? The economy sucks and your trying to do a clothing line? Your nuts… save your money and put it into something else.” Well… maybe we’re stubborn, or maybe just a little crazy.. or maybe both but our philosophy here is… MAKE MOVES WHEN OTHERS AREN’T (or just too scared too). Where one person see’s a problem… another see an opportunity for a solution. I’m not talking the “go big or go home” mentality but more “make your moves at the right times.” Man, I think these are exciting times!!! Call me crazy but i think sometimes when the going gets tough, that’s when true innovation is sparked and change is made. I’m not afraid of change… as long as it moves us forward and makes things a little better… why not?!?!??!

Look… I’m not gonna kid myself and act as if everything is peachy and just spend spend spend… but I’m thinking that if you make calculated risks, the payoff could be pretty nice. Like in poker, you calculate your odds and if it is in your favor… push your chips in!!! It might not have to be ALL IN but don’t be afraid to play. If you don’t play, you might just be the guy that folded the nuts. All i’m saying is that we’re not afraid of this Recession thing just yet and actually are excited to take some jabs at it. Let’s see what we can do… The worst we can get to is back at where we started right?

Just some thoughts and hope we can post more like this as our company grows… and oh.. yeah.. WE ARE GROWING!!! More exposure, more support, more love! Let’s get this straight, we can’t do this all alone so i want to take this time to say… Thank you all for your support!!! Every shirt you buy and wear helps us to make our next moves. We are putting a ton of energy into this thing and hope we can STACK together with all of you. We’re not all about trying to just make money and hope we can really do positive things as we keep growing. It’s time to get creative my friends and look for US to keep pushing forward. Our friends on Facebook have been real supportive as well as our offline family. You don’t know what it feels like for us when we run into a random person rocking one of our designs or hear people are feeling our style. Smiles…

So anyway, just wanted to say that we’re not intimated by this Recession Monster and wanna try to find the weaknesses and capitalize on them.  No Sticking it in Stack!!!!  We are looking forward to growing with you all and appreciate all the love and support!  Oh and hey recession… I call and reraise you ALL IN!!!
